Biography

Susannah Snyderwas born on 22 January 1796 in Botetourt County, Virginia, the youngest of six known children and three daughters of Matthias and Elizabeth Eckle Snider.

She never married. In his will, her father, Mathias, stipulated that "my youngest daughter Susanna [who] never married and has lived with us many years after her age of 21 has been very faithful for which she shall be recompensed & shall after her Mother's decease become the sole heir of my house and land forever."
