Biography

MARY ELIZABETH ANDERSON Dowagiac, MI - Mary E. Anderson, 82, of Three Rivers, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Dowagiac Nursing Home. She had been in ill health for several years. She was born in Goshen, Ind., on July 19, 1920 to Henry and Eva Snoke. She had lived in Goshen, Ind.; Bradenton, Fla.; and Three Rivers. She was married to Clarence C. Anderson in 1944; he died June 26, 1973. Survivors include one son, Phillip M. Trosper of White Pigeon, one daughter, Phyllis J. Campbell of Jones, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. One sister-in-law, Pearl Snoke and one brother-in-law, Delbert Schmucker and wife Jean, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, David C. Anderson, two brothers, Clarence and Ralph Snoke, two sisters, Florence Bainter, and Gladys Schmucker. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Newberg, corner of Patterson Hill Road and Born Street, Jones. Pastor Mike Owen will officiate. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date in Bradenton, Fla.
