"Deacon" John Snow was born in 1700 in Eastham, Barnstable County (Cape Cod), in the British colony/province of Massachusetts. His parents were Micajah Snow and his wife Mercy (Young) Snow.
On August 12, 1721, young John Snow married Hannah Merrick in Harwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. John and Hannah (Merrick) Snow had the following children together:[1][2]

JONATHAN SNOW b: 25 Mar 1730 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts
ABIGAIL SNOW b: 23 Nov 1731 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts
MEHITABLE SNOW b: 16 Jan 1733 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts
GIDEON SNOW b: 11 Dec 1736 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts
WILLIAM SNOW b: 1 Nov 1738 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts
ELI SNOW b: 7 Apr 1740 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts
DAVID SNOW b: 24 Jan 1742 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts
Unfortunately, Hannah (Merrick) Snow died on February 16, 1764, in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts, leaving John Snow, by this time a Deacon in the Harwich Congregational (Puritan) Church, a widower. All his children were grown.
A few months later, on August 9, 1764, John Snow remarried, this time to widow Elizabeth (Paine) Smith, b. Dec. 14, 1718 in Truro, Mass. They married in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts. Elizabeth's first husband was Thomas Smith who died on April 4, 1752. Their marriage was a short one with no children as Deacon John Snow died on February 15, 1766, in Harwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. He was buried in the Old Burying Ground, Brewster, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.[3] Elizabeth (Paine, Smith) Snow survived him and passed away in Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts, on April 3, 1780.
