He states That" while in the discharge of his duty in June 1863 at Missionary Ridge in the State of Georgia he was shot in the hip was also shot in the thumb at Rasacea." (Missionary Ridge, Tennnessee & Rasacea, Georgia, both being part of the Battle of Missionary Ridge, TN)
He states he lives at Searight, Alabama; that he is engaged in farming; and that his taxable property consists of nothing.
On the 17th of August 1901, Rebecca Solomon petitions for the pension as widow of Monroe Solomon. She states that he died in Oct. 1900
On 19 April 1915, Rebecca Solomon recertifies and states she was born 15 May 1841 and is seventy-two (72) years old, and that her post office address is Gantt, AL.
On 30-March-1917, upon her request: Hon. M. C. Allgood, State Auditor, Montgomery, Alabama. Dear Sir:- Kindly change the Pension Warrant of Rebecca Solomon, number 7688, from Covington County to Escambia County, Alabama. I am Yours very truly, J.M.Robinson, Judge of Probate.
