Biography

Job Southard served for South Carolina in the War of 1812

Job was born about 1787 in North Carolina.

Job and Morning were married in 1813, after he had served in the War of 1812 under Capt. John Witcher's Co. SC Militia.[1] They had thirteen children: James, Joel, Nancy, Henry, Sally, John, Ambers, Malinda, Mahala, Levi, Martin, Elizabeth and Umberson. On the 1850 census, Job is working as a Blacksmith.

He died in 1867. He is buried at Cockerham Family Graveyard at Zephyr in Surry County, North Carolina.[2]
