DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

Steven,

Thanks for your work on Southard for Southard-6 Thomas Jr. , Wife is listed as Frances Champion-159. I am going to attach her as mother to Mary Southard-5.

Mary already had Southard-6 as father and same siblings. Very little history on Frances Champion. Has anyone picked up hints on Long Island. or New Netherlands. The Duchess County sites were probably after the birth of Mary. Other question is a minor one, Southard-6 is listed as a Jr. his father is just Thomas. But his grandfather was also named Thomas but it was Southworth II (LNAB). I am assuming that it was a clean slate in the new world. grandfather wasn't present so in New Netherlands it was appropriate for a Jr added to name. Marty

I am entering some family info regarding Embree family and observed wife of Embree-5 Moses Jr. is Mary Southard (Southard-5) married Egg Harbor NJ,her d 1749. and a significant number of children with pretty solid profiles.

We appear to need a merge of her Father, Thomas Southard. on her profile he is Southard-6. there is also Southard-103 that lists same birth 1660 and location, Hempstead NY and it has family ancestry and descendants linked. I will try to see that this message is posted on the relevant profiles.

There are also 2 profiles for the father of Thomas Jr. and those are Thomas Southard-61 New Netherlands immigrant Thomas Southard-102 Thanks in advance for getting clarification and initiating a merge on these pre 1700 ancestor
