A Jonathan Turner married , 1677, a daughter of Elisha (2) Bisbee (Thomas 1); these were probably the parents of Jemima (4), Jesse (5) Turner (Joshua 4, Japhet 3, John 2, Humphrey 1), married in Scituate, Dec. 18, 1734 Grace Dwelly

In a reply to A.E.H.S., who inquires for names and dates of the Dudley-Hilton-Hall family. I will copy from the Winthrop family records as I have them in the handwriting of my father, who was a direct descendant, but taken from what source I know not.

Mary Winthrop died Salisbury, April 12, 1643: married about 1633, Rev. Samuel Dudley, born in England about 1606, came to New England with his father, resided in Cambridge, Boston and Salisbury and finally settled at Exeter, N.H. as minister of that town and died March 20, 1683, aged 77,

After his first wife's death he married again. Their children were: Thomas, baptized March 9, 1634, graduated at Harvard College 1651, died unmarried Nov.7, 1655 John, baptized June 28, 1635, nothing known of him: both of these were brought up by their grandfather, Governor Dudley: Samuel, baptized Aug. 6, 1639, died April 17, 1643: Ann, born at Salisbury, Oct. 16, 1641, married Edard Hilton son of Edward Hilton, "father of the settlement of New Hampshire," who died at Exeter, now New Market, about 1671; estate L1146 6s.

Their children were: Ann, married Richard Hilton, her cousin, son of Captain William Hilton of Exeter and Portsmouth, judge of Supreme Court in New Hampshire, 1699: Mary, married Joseph Hall, son of Ralph Hall of Exeter; Winthrop, born about 1672, killed by the Indians near Epping, N.H., June 23, 1710, married Ann Wilson, daughter of Humphrey Wilson, had five children; married, second, Captain Jonathan Wilds who died March 3, 1744; Dudley, not heard of after the battle in which his brother was killed, married Mercy Hall, daughter of Hon. Kinglsey Hall, who married again; Jane, married Richard Matson of Ipswich, killed by the Indians July, 1706; Joseph, born about 1681, died at the age of 84, married first, Hannah Joye of Portsmouth; second, Rebecca Adams, originally Atkinson; Sobriety, married Jonathan Hilton.

The children of Ann, the eldest child of above and Richard Hilton, were: Richard, married Elizabeth ???, died beore his father; Benjamin, married; Samuel; William, married: Edward, married Elizabeth ???, died 1776.

Children of Mary Hilton and Joseph Hall: Joseph, died 1767, married first, Mary ???,. who died April 1, 1753; second. Mrs. Eunice Parsons, who died March 27, 1790, aged 94; Edwared, taken by the Indians and died about 1769, married first, Mary Wilson, sister of Colonel Winthrop Hilton's wife who died Dec. 2, 1737; second, Hannah ???.

Children of Colonel Winthrop Hilton: Ann, died in Roxbury, July 12, 1745. married Ebenezer Pierpont, born in Roxbury, Sept. 14, 1694, graduated at Harvard College, 1715, to the church 1717, died about 1734, married second, Hannah Wiswell, who died Oct. 10, 1747, third, Sara Curtis, who survived him: Judith, married July 29, 1723, first, William Pike, who died Oct. 25, 1726, one child; second, Rev. Elisha Odlin of Amesbury, born in Exeter, graduated at Harvard College, 173?, married Nov. 1, 1731, ordained 1744, died Jan. 21, 1752, aged 41, Deborah, married first, Samuel King, who died September, 1723, second, Benjamin King, his brother: Elizabeth, married John Dudley of Brentwood: Bridget. died Nov. 10, 1736, married April 3, 1720, Andrew Gilman, whose first wife was Joanna King, five children. Winthrop, born Dec. 21, 1710, colonel of militia died at New Market, Dec. 26, 1781, married Dec. 9, 1736, Martha, daughter of Joshua Weeks and widow of Charles Wiggin, died May 31, 1769.

Children of Dudely Hilton: Elizabeth, married Christopher Robinson who died at Cape Breton, Ann, married first, Nathaniel Ladd, second, Joseph Malone of Exeter; Mercy, died about 1782, married first, Kingsley James; second, ??? Lyford, no issue.

Children of Jane Hilton and Richard Matson: Hubartus, killed by the Indians with his father, July, 1706; John: Richard; Deborah, married Jacob Foster, had on child, Deborah, who married Colonel Samuel Gilman, three others, names unknown, who married ??? Gilman, Jacob Thomas, and ??? Gray; Richard.

Children of Joseph Hilton: Hannah (by his first wife): Israel born Oct. 10, 1716 or 1717, went to the Southern States; Jospeh, born 1720, a blacksmith, went to Carolina: Theodore, born 1721, died about 1765, married Mary Smellie of Stratham. Daniel born OCt. 4, 1725, died Jan. 6, 1800, aged 74, married Ann Taylor, daughter of nathan Taylor of Startham.

Next gerneation. Children of Benjamin Hilton, son of Rhichard Hilton: Andrew, Benjamin, Sarah, Jeremiah, Richard, Joanna, married Hubartus Smith.

Children of Willia Hilton, son of Richard Hilton" Martha, married first, Governor Wentworth as his second wife, no issue; second, Colonel Michael Wentorth, had one child, Martha, who married Sir John Wentworth: Love, married; Joanna, married James or Thomas Gilman.

Children of Edware Hilton, son of Richard Hilton: Josiah, born Nov. 6, 1724, married: Edwared, born Aug. 30, 1730, mmarried Betsey, born Aug. 30, 1733, married ??? Smart of New Market; Mary, born Jan. 14, 1737, married Ichabod Bartlett of New Market; Love, born Jan. 10, 1716, married in 1738 Israel Bartlett of Newburyport. Mary, married ??? Sargent of New Market. Sarah, married John Burleigh, Rebecca, married Samuel Adams; Deborah, married ??? Folsom.

Children of Edware Hall, son of Mary Hilton: Ann, married Rev. John Moody of New Market; two daughters, names unknown, who arried Rv. ??? Page and John ???, Jemima, married Benjamin Smith of Durham; daughter, name unknown. married Joseph Merrill.

Children of Ann Hilton, daughter of Colonel Wintrhop Hilton, and Ebenezer Pierpont: Mary, born Nov. 19, 1723, died July 22, 1724; Ebenezer, born July 25, 1725, married Hannah Gridley.
