Description
Something that I didn't mention in my initial ramblings, is that I grew up in an entrepreneurial family. For as long as I can remember, I have been exposed to small business management, sales, marketing, customer service, buying and selling businesses and so on. Everyone in my family has at one time or another owned and operated their own businesses - from doughnut shoppes and retail kitchen centers to commercial leasing and chimney cleaning.
I've even had a few myself - some successful, some better left as memories. One great little operation I operated was a business planning consultancy which focused on helping entrepreneurs successfully start, grow and market their businesses. During this time, I had the pleasure of preparing full-length business plans, conducted in-depth market research and performed feasibility studies on a wide array of business endeavors and concepts. It was quite a journey!
One day I realized that I wanted to take everything that I had learned along the way and share this knowledge with others - thus, the birth of my blog: Babe of Business.
