Hi, I'm Pamela Lloyd. This page helps me keep track of things on WikiTree that I'm working on, as well as providing templates and code snippets that I use often.

If you think you might be interested in creating a To-Do List of your own, see To-Do Lists.

Want to help? Your contributions are always welcome. If we share a relative, please contact me and say hello. I'm always glad to meet a new cousin. Also, check out the Diversity Project. I recommended the project to the community on G2G, and the consensus was that it should be a part of the Notables Project, so that's where it landed. But, there is at least one related project that doesn't focus on Notables—the Melungeon Roots project, which looks really cool—so I'm hoping that one day the Diversity Project will be a full-fledged project of its own. (See the "Diversity Project To-Do List" section, farther down on this page, for more information.)

My Family To-Do List

Requested Profiles

On Sep 25, 2017, Selvaggio-84 Lucy (Selvaggio) Selvaggio-Diaz requested a merge between Willits-38 Richard Willits and Willits-7 Richard Willits. This will require a fair amount of research to determine whether the two profiles, and profiles for their descendents, are for the same sets of people.

^^^ DONE ^^^ Marj Adams has requested that sources be added to James Craun to show his connection to his parents John Albert Craun (1782) and Deborah (Lee) Craun (abt. 1784).

Unconnected Profiles

See unconnected profiles at: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/178495/new-tool-who-is-unconnected-in-your-watchlist?show=178495

Note: One such profile needing work is Charles William Herrington (1718 - 1822). He was previously listed as the son of John Harrington (1719 - 1749), but the dates make this an impossible connection. (Thanks for pointing this out, Liz!)

Profiles Needing Work

  • The Amos and Brinkley families need to be added to the list. (Related through Martha (Amos) Lloyd.

Research Pending

There's a template for profiles needing research. For more information, see Template:Research_pending

To add the research pending template, insert the text {{Research_pending}}.

I also use categories to help keep track of profiles I manage that require work. The categories will, most likely, provide a more complete list of profiles I'm working on, and their status, than that here.

'Note' There is no category for profiles for which sources are complete, simply because it's impossible to know when all possible sources for someone on the tree have been found. There's always the possibility that there is more evidence out there, waiting to be found someday.

To Do

See https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/276809/categories-friend-or-foe-and-how-do-you-use-it for more information about how to use the categories report.

  • Clean up bios & sources for all records I manage.
  • Add records for the children of Thomas Lloyd and Sarah Ann Kennedy.
  • Add records for the parents of Thomas Lloyd and Sarah Ann Kennedy.
  • Create a GEDCOM with information about additional branches of the family, so sources will be attached to new records.
  • Check for unconnected profiles: [[Special:Unconnected<p|Special:Unconnected<p]] />

Invitation for Lloyd profiles:

Hi. I'd like to invite you to consider including *** Lloyd, and any other Lloyds you manage, in the Lloyd Name Study on WikiTree. It's super easy to do, and it can help you connect with other Lloyds, possibly even with "lost" cousins.

Just add Category:Lloyd Name Study in double square brackets to your ancestor's biography. I usually include my categories right at the top of the bio.

You can read more about the Lloyd Name Study at Space:Lloyd_Name_Study.

Best wishes and happy ancestor hunting, Pamela Lloyd Lloyd Name Study co-ordinator

Magnus' Recommendations for Sidebars

On G2G, in the answers and comments to "Whoever keeps messing with the categories I've labored to create... PLEASE QUIT IT! ", there is a recommendation from Magnus Sälgö that we should be using Sidebars, similar to those on Wikipedia, to present category information.

See more at:

One Name Study Sidebar

Ros Haywood's comment:
One Name Studies do something similar: e.g. a profile included in the Blagdon Name Study will have:
Blagdon Name Study category at the top of the bio

A template including a logo, and the text "This profile is part of the Blagdon One Name Study If you are interested in this profile, please check out the One Name Studies Project!"

(which includes links to the Blagdon One Name Study and the One Name Studies Project)

However, this template does take up a fair bit of the bio, so it would be better to have it in the right-hand sidebar with the rest of the images

Diversity Project Sidebar

This sounds like a good idea, if it can be implemented in a way that works for the powers that be at WikiTree.

Diversity Project To-Do List

The Diversity Project is a sub-project of the Notables Project.

Profiles and pages in the Notables Diversity Project category include those free-space pages for the project, pages for people who are leaders or members of the project, and pages for profiles that are part of the project.

  • Review G2G for comments tagged diversity.
  • Check for changes on profiles that are part of the Diversity Project, and thank contributors.
