William W. Whitteker was the son of Norris Stanley Whitteker and Letitia Morris. He was the grandson of Carroll Morris and Frances See as well as the grandson of William Whitteker and Philena Cobb. He was born 1842 in Charleston, Kanawha County, Virginia. He married Virginia F. High on July 14, 1860 in Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio. He died April 19, 1890 in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio; and, is buried in the Old Soldiers' Circle of the Greenlawn Cemetery there.
