The descendants of Hester Beale (2), sister of William Beale (2):
Issac Spackman (2), a worsted comber, lived in Hankerton, near Malmsbury, Wiltshire, England. He d. about 1746, leaving a widow and seven children. His widow, Hester, was the dau of Thomas Beale (1) and Catherine (Cope). In 1750, William Beale (2), Hester's brother, who had settled in West Whiteland, Chester County, Pa., visited his old home and brought four of the Spackman children back with him, Thomas, age 22, Mary age 17, Elizabeth age 15, and Isaac, Jr. age 11 years. Their brother George, came over later and resided in Wilmington, Del. All became Quakers except Thomas.
1. Thomas Spackman (3) of East Bradford, Chester Co., b. 12-18-1728, d. 10-24-1810, mar.Jane Wollerton, dau Charles, who came over before 1726 and Jane (Chilcot).[1]
Thomas Spackman married Jane Wollerton, daughter of Charles and Jane (Chilcot) Wollerton of East Bradford, and settled in East Bradford Township in 1761. He built a mill in that year on Valley Creek. Thomas and Jane Spackman had the following children: George, Isaac, Hester, Thomas, Sarah, Daniel, Rachel, Elizabaeth and Mary.
