Mrs. Poteete was born at Warner, OK, April 6, 1926 the daughter of Myrtle Spalding and went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2009 at her home in Warner. She attended school in the Warner area and married Virgil H. Poteete Jr. in 1946 at Vian and they were married for 66 wonderful years. She was preceded in death by her mother, a son, Melvin Lee Poteete, and a daughter, Sharon Dobson. Survivors include her husband, Virgil H. Poteete, Jr., of the home, two daughters, Dorothy Mangham of Norman, OK and Mary Hooper of Warner, OK, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Mae will be greatly missed by all the family and friends. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday April 20, 2009 at Warner Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Wendell Cox officiating. Services and burial will be under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.
