Patrick Milton Speed, the son of Felix Speed and Hester Langston, was born 17 February 1851 in Covington, Mississippi and he passed away 18 February 1933 in Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma. He is buried in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery in Sayre, Oklahoma. ^[1]

• Funeral services are held Sunday for retired banker at First Baptist Church...Mr. Speed died of complications incident to his advanced age Saturday afternoon at his home...his body was laid to rest following a Masonic burial ceremony in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery...Mr. Speed had lived in Sayre the past three years. ^[5]
