1594 Elizabeth Spencer (d. c. 1632), only child of Sir John Spencer Sir John Spencer, Lord Mayor of London 1594-95, of Canonbury in Islington in Middlesex, and his wife Alice Bromfield, widow of (1) Henry Leake, and (2) William Cox, and daughter of Thomas Bromfield, of London. [1] [2]
Her marriage was opposed by her father, but took place after she was abducted in a baker's basket.
Elizabeth passed away on 8 May 1632 in Compton Wynyates, Warwickshire.
