Note N253Thomas Spencer, born at Haddam, Conn., 1 Jun 1728, died after 1800, probably at Wilmington, Vt.; married Anna _____. Called of Haddam, he bought land in Middletown, Conn., 28 Sep 1750, and he was "of Middletown" when he sold it, 11 Dec 1759 [Middletown Deeds, 13:355; 18:44]. In the 1790 Census he was of Wilmington, Vt., his family consisting of 5 males over 16 years; and in 1800 he was there, listed as 1 male over 45, with 2 males 26-45 and 1 female 16-26.
