Rufus & Jacob Spencer, sons of Rufus Spencer & Huldah ____, are found in Arlington, VT. Records;(179-, 1800, 1810, 1820 Fed. Census, Arlington, VT.). 1850 Federal Census are found for the sons and their wives. Father was a Sergeant in the Revolution serving with Capt. Jonas Galusha. The Land Record in Onondaga County, and the tombstone of Huldah, relic of Rufus Spencer (in Central Square, NY), have no known connection to the Rufus Spencer 1761-1836, son of Peleg & Audrey Spencer. There was Rufus Spencer in Granby, Oswego, NY 1818, History of Oswego County, NY, believed descend from Thomas Spencer 1607, many descendants are found in Chenango County, NY.
