Rawser Spicer is believed to be the unborn child mentioned in the 1768 will of Rawser Spicer. The latter made his will dated 20 August, 1768 noting his wife was "Great with child" and his will was proven during the September Court of Orange County, Virginia.

Rawser first married to Nancy Dudley Wood, a daughter of Hannah (Wood) Hensley. Nancy was the step-daughter of John Hensley. His second marriage was to Lucy Collins, granddaughter of John and Philadelphia Snell.

Note: John Hensley's mother, Martha (Snell) Hensley, and John Snell were siblings.
