Surgeon's certificate and Article of Agreement for application of pension Pleasant J Spinks filed for invalid pension March 15 1886 Application: # 566077 Certificate: # 548439 Company I, 52 Ky Mtd. Inf, also a member of the 12th Ky Cavalry, Company A but pension for the first one.
Info included in his pension application: " On roll from Enlistment to 9 Feb 64. Present Mar & Apr '64. Absent sick in hospital in Frankfurt Ky, Jul & Aug '64. Absent cause not known 31 Aug 64 to 26 Feb '65 (6 mnths muster) present was mustered out at Bowling Green Ky 12 Mar '65 as private. His father came and took him home to get treated by S.B Johnson of Bowling Green ,he returned to camp last days of May 1864. He claims the hospital was over crowded in Frankfurt and that is why his father came and got him. Lived since leaving the service near Glenmore and near Cedar Bluffs Mills Born Clay Lick , Warren Co Ky. Left Warren Co. in 1906, lived in Edmonson Co KY since"
