Ebenezer Spooner was born in Acushnet.[1][2]

Marriages & Children

After 1691, he married Mercy Branch, daughter of John and Mary (Speed) Branch in Dartmouth.[2]

  2. Ephraim Spooner (circa 1698-26 Nov 1776)

  5. Susannah Spooner

His second marriage, 26 Mar 1708, was to Mercy Rose (circa 1669-15 Jan 1745), whose father was believed to have been Anthony Rose.[2]

He was buried at Burial Hill, where his is the oldest monument of the Spooner family in the Untied States.[2]

Probate

On 2 May 1718, his widow Marcy was granted the letter of administration for his estate. His moveables inventory was recorded on 2 Mary 1718.[3]

In 1719, the estate settlement mentions his widow and five children, Thomas, John, Ephraim, Bethiah, and Susannah.[4]
