DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ezekiel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ezekiel:
Springer-762 and Springer-76 appear to represent the same person because: No death date has been found, however, Ezekiel Springer Jr. can be found in Illinois in the 1830s so this is circumstantial evidence that either Ezekiel Springer Sr. died in Illinois, and that is why his son was there, or perhaps his son independently migrated from the Kentucky home, leaving his father behind, on his ultimate way to Iowa.
Y-DNA has confirmed that Ezekiel is not the sone of Charles Carl Springer. He is a Y-DNA match to descendants of Dennis Springer who was residing in the same area and is likely a sibling.
Y-dna has established that Ezekiel Springer was not the son of Charles Carl Springer. He does share the same Y-dna with Dennis Springer who was likely his brother.
