Biography
Joseph Shantz Springer was born at Waterloo Village, the eldest child of Moses & Barbara (Shantz) Springer. Joseph married Rosina Roos on February 9, 1868 at Waterloo Village, Ontario County, Canada. They were married by Immanuel Wurster, the minister of the German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Preston. They had eight children. Joseph was a farmer at Mossborough, Waterloo County.
