DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:

Hi, I am attempting to determine how my maternal ancestor Sophia [Spry-240] Maynard is related to William Spry, being that they are born within a few years of each other and resided within close proximity to one another in Wayne County, WV on the census year 1850? James and Sophia Mainard are dwelling #471 and William Spry is on the next census page in dwelling #477. My Sophia Spry Maynard was born in KY in 1815, and married James Maynard Jr in Mar 1830 in Pike Co., KY per their marriage record. Then, they can be found residing in Wayne Co., WV in 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880. There has to be a familial connection between Sophia Spry Maynard and William Spry.

Spry-412 and Spry-147 appear to represent the same person because: These two profiles which have been rejected as a match, need to be cleaned up and merged. Same location, same wife, same child (Absalom), same death date and location.

William & Chloe married about 1841. Their reported children ["John Queen of Loudoun County, Virginia [ca1720-1802/05] And Descendants" by Paul E. Dyer; Published 1980 by Economy Printers, Ashland, Kentucky 41101] are: John 1844; Martha Jane 1846; James 4/15/1848.

I adopted the "Orphaned Files' of Absalom & Nancy and slowly attempting to merge their children's duplications. Your help is requested. Rick

I do not believe this William is the son of Enoch. He was born in West Virginia, after Enoch had settled in Kentucky. It doesn’t add up.
