Origins
It is not exactly clear who Joanna Spur's parents were. There was a Robert Spurr in Dorchester at the right time and about the right age to be her father but there are no vital records linking her to Robert. Further research is needed.

"Joanna 'Spur' was married by Major Lusher to Nathaniel 'Wyat' son of Edward Wyat on 8 November 1668 at Dorchester, Massachusetts." [1] [2] [3] Their known children were [1]

Re: Her attached parents. Unfortunately there's no primary record identifying her parents as Robert Spurr and Ann (Unknown) Spurr of Dorchester. There may have been Spurr's in the Boston area or she may have arrived as an indentured servant. I've looked through the History of Dorchester by Ebenezer Clapp and Robert Spurr Sr. and Jr. are mentioned within a small group of men who 'liked to party' and which drew the attention of the Church and who later received town admonishments. Included in the 'party' was Edward Wyatt, father of Nathaniel Wyatt, the husband of this profile. Perhaps that's where the asserted association came from.

Spur-17 and Spurr-385 appear to represent the same person because: I did not create Spur-17 but adopted it. Same father and siblings, and same date of birth. Date of death is different but similar.
