Amy Elizabeth Squires (married name Grant) was born on 9 October 1853 in Barrow Upon Soar, Leicestershire, England, the daughter of Amy (Simmonds) Squires and Joseph Squires.[citation needed] [1]
She married Richard Grant in 1873 in Victoria. Australia.[citation needed]
Amy died on 21 August 1928 in Meredith, Victoria.[2]
Parental marriage: The marriage of Ann Simmons (spinster of full age) of Regent Street, Loughborough, daughter of William Simmons (boatman), and Joseph Squires (bachelor of full age, a labourer) of Mountsorrell in the parish of Rothley, the son of William Squires (framework knitter), took place on December 24th 1849 at Loughborough parish church. Thomas Thorpe and Mary Jane Wakerley were witnesses. Henry Fearon, Rector, conducted the marriage. [3]
