Birth
On 7 January 1873 William Westbrooke Squires was born to Catherine Jane Crawshaw and William Westbrooke Squires. [1]

Mother's death
Before he was one his mother Catherine Jane died on 20 August 1873. [2]
DIED.
Squires. — August 20, at Hardy-street, Nelson, Catherine Jane, wife of William Westbrooke Squires, M.D., M.R.C.S., aged 24 years.

When he was 5 his father, aged 37, also died.

Marriage
In 1903 Mary Beatrice Moffett and William Westbrooke Squires were married. [3]

SQUIRES— MOFFETT.— On the 14th April, 1903, at St. John's Church, Invercaigill by the Rev. Archdeacon Stocker, William Westbrook Squires, son of the late. Dr Squires, of Nelson, to Mary Beatrice, third daughter of William J. Moffett, Invercargill.

It is attached to the Ist Nelson Infantry Battalion. The first officers of the corps were Lieutenant Commanding William Westbrooke Squires, and Lieutenant James Houlker.

.. the resignation of Lieutenant-Commanding Squires from the Nelson College Cycle Corps in August, 1904.
