Biography

Asa was born in 1862. Asa was the child of Homer Stacy and Amelia Donaldson. Asa passed away in 1939. [1]

He lived at home and after his parents deaths he took over the farm.

From his Obituary:
He was the last of a line of Isaac Stacys that extended unbroken back to colonial times. He completed his schooling at Cedar Vally Seminary. In early manhood he managed a lumber yard in Chamberlain, SD but spent the rest of his life in Mitchell County. He is remembered for his droll humor, his good judgement and absolute fairness.
