Martha was born in 1902, the daughter of William "Will" Granderson Hoover Stambaugh and Mary Alifair Caudill. She was most likely married about 1920 or 1921 to Virgil Vanhoose, however a marriage record has not yet been located. She passed away in 1946 and is buried in the W G H Stambaugh family cemetery in Stambaugh, Kentucky.
