Private Daniel Stambaugh served with Northampton County Militia, Pennsylvania Militia during the American Revolution.

Johann Daniel STAMBACH was born 12 Nov 1748, baptized 12 Mar 1749 at Jordan Lutheran Church in s. Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Co, PA. He was a twin to Barbara STAMBACH who m. Johannes F. BROBST b. 13 Jun 1750.

Daniel was in American Revolution list 1 June 1777 (?) roster as being in the 4th Class, 6th Company, 3rd Battalion Northampton County Militia from E Lynn twp (New Tripoli), under Capt. Matthias PROBST and Col. Michael BOBST.

Took Oath of Allegiance to PA on 9 Oct 1777 before Mathias PROBST in Northampton Co. Died in Am.Rev. run over by cannon.

Orphans Court 18 Mar 1789: died 5 yrs ago, friend Jacob GREENEWALT, Lynn Tp Northampton Co., 3 children under 14 are Daniel, Philip, Elisabeth, with guardians Jacob MANTZ, George CUSTARD, Philip MOSER, all of Lynn Twp.
