Biography

Her given name was Anne but the nickname Nancy is also used on records.

Jesse Johnson Sr., and Anne Stanfield were from Wilkes County, North Carolina, but were married in Green County, Tennessee, 4 December 1796.[1] An alternate marriage date of 12 Dec 1796 has also been found suggesting the earlier date was the date of the marriage bond and the later date was for the actual marriage.

The 1850 census for Whitley County, Kentucky shows she was born 1776 in North Carolina. [2]

Find A Grave: Memorial #126046460 has different birth and death dates for her but lacks sources.

She married Jesse Elmer Johnson Sr. son of William Johnson and Mary (Parks) Johnson, on 4 Dec. 1798 in Green County, Tennessee.[3]

Ann died after 1850 in Lawrence County, Kentucky although online sources list 1852 with no source.
