George Stanley, 93, of Stanford, Ky., formerly of Oneida, died, March 21, 2002, at Ephriam McDowell Hospital in Danville, Ky. Born in Scott County, February 18, 1909, he was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Coffey Stanley; and one daughter, Eyvonne Stanley. He was a retired employee of Corning Glass, a farmer, and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Lindell Terry Stanley of Danville, Ky.; two sons: Donald Gene Stanley of Salina, Kansas, and David Harold Stanley of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; one daughter, Lois King of Danville, Ky.; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four greatgreat-grandchildren, and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted March 26, 2002, in the chapel of Preston and Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville. Interment followed in Danville Memorial Gardens.
