Biography

James Stanley, Archdeacon of Chester, was born about 1441, the son of Thomas Stanley, KG and Joan Goushill. He attended Oxford and obtained a Masters of Arts by 1462. He was appointed Archdeacon of Chester in 1478, and died before July 1485.[1]
