The birth of Dixson Stansbury on 6 DEC 1720 is recorded in St. Paul's Parish in Baltimore County. He was the son of Thomas and Jane Stansbury. [1]

The marriage of Dixson Stansbury & Penillipi Body is recorded in St. John's Parish on 4 JAN 1740. The births of four of their children are also recorded right after their marriage:

Dixson Stansbury Sr., Edmund Stansbury and Dixson Stansbury Junior are listed on this census living in Baltimore, Maryland. There are two free white males sixteen and upwards. One free white female, one all other free persons, and thirteen slaves.

Death

Dixson Stansbury Sr. of Baltimore County signed his will on 19 MAR 1805. An abstract of legacies follows: *to my son Dixson Stansbury and my grandson Dixson Stansbury son of Edmond Stansbury the following tracts: Stansbury’s Chance 288 acs., Dublin 100, acs., Dublin Support 99 acs., Stansbury’s Camp 62 acs. to be equally divided.

  • to my daughter Elizabeth Slade 30 acs. of land named Ballasters Support in Back River Neck also my riding mare.
  • the remainder of my personal estate be equally divided between my son Dixson Stansbury and my daughter Elizabeth Slade and my grandson Dixson, son of Edmond Stansbury, and my granddaughter Elizabeth Miles’ son called Dixson Stansbury Miles to draw one equal share. If Elizabeth Miles’ son should die before age 21 then his part to fall to my grandson of Edmond Stansbury.
  • I appoint my beloved son Dixson Stansbury my executor.
