The birth of William Stansbury 20 JAN 1716 is recorded in St. Paul's parish in Baltimore County. He was the son of Daniel Stansbury and Elizabeth Ensor. William inherited land from his father as the oldest son. In 1763 he conveyed 100 acres of land called Poplar Neck to his brother, Richard Stansbury for five shillings.[1] In the same year he conveyed a different tract of 80 acres called Prospect to his other brother, Daniel, for the same amount. [2]
