Biography

John Stanton, born 29 Sep 1714 @ Stonington, Connecticut, was the eighth child of Margaret Chesebrough & Joseph Stanton.

He married 27 Feb 1737/38 Prudence Chesebrough. They had 9 children as profiled, all born at Groton, Connecticut.

John Stanton died 16 Nov 1762 at Havana, Cuba, apparently during the Anglo-Spanish War.

His final child, Cassandra Stanton, was born posthumously to his demise.
