Her parents were John Williams birthplace unknown and Lucy (no maiden name) who was born at Greasy Rock, TN. Morning had siblings Lane and Elizabeth."[1] Lane died in Texas and Elizabeth died in Ada, Oklahoma.[2]
Note: Sneedville was originally known as "Greasy Rock." When Hancock County was formed from parts of Hawkins and Claiborne counties in the 1840s, Greasy Rock was chosen as the county seat. The town was renamed in honor of William Henry Sneed (1812–1869), an attorney from Knoxville who helped defend the new county when several residents sued in an attempt to block its creation.[3]

The 1850 census of Cass Co., MO spells her name 'Mourning' rather than Morning.
Morning was said to be Native American, possibly Cherokee or Choctaw. She was also said to be part black Dutch.
