Biography

Elizabeth Stark was born on the 28th of March in the year 1686 in Groton Township, New London County, Connecticut. She is the daughter of John Stark and Elizabeth Packer.

On the 5th of April 1707 in Groton, Elizabeth married John Newberry , son of Tryall Newberry and Priscilla Starkey.[1][2] The had nine children, all born in Groton.

  1. John Newberry Jr. was born 16 August 1710; married Zuviah Burch.[3][4]
  2. Sarah Newbury was born 23 June 1712.[5][6]
  3. Joseph Newbury was born 4 March 1713.[7][8]
  4. Nathan Newbury was born 3 March 1716.[9][10]
  5. Elizabeth Newbury was born 4 February 1718.[11][12]
  6. James Newbury was born 23 March 1720.[13][14]
  7. Trial Newberry was born 25 February 1722; married Anna Davis.[15][16]
  8. Nathaniel Newbury was born 10 March 1724; married Mary Whipple.[17][18]
  9. Hannah Newbury was born 25 March 1726.[19][20]
