She was the daughter of William Starke and Mary Bolling. She passed away after 1767.

Surry Co., VA, DB 8, p. 205, 20 Feb 1764: “Mary Starke of Bristol Parish in Prince George Co. to her daughter, Rebecca Cocke of Southwark Parish in Surry Co. for Love and Affection. Four Negro slaves named Sue, Harry, Will and Annaky. Wit: William Short, Daniel Fisher. Rec. 21 Feb 1764.”[1]

Amelia Co., VA, DB 9, p. 232, 24 Aug 1767: “John Cooke (Cocke) of Surry Co. and Rebeckah, his wife, to James Henderson of A, merchant. £127-10s. 127.5 acres in A and Nottoway Parish, and bounded by the sd Cocke’s old field near a spring, Charles Irby, William & Benjamin Reeves, which sd parcel of land is part of a tract of land devised to the aforesaid Rebeckah by her father in his will, now of record in Prince George Co. Wit: John Bentley, Nathal Robertson, Langston Bacon. Rec. 22 Oct 1767, together with a commission for taking acknowledgement and privy examination of Rebecca, wife of the sd John Cocke and a certificate of execution thereof.” [2]
