Thomas Starkey of Wrenbury^[1]

As he was known as "Thomas Starkey of Wrenbury"^[1] he was probably born at Wrenbury, Cheshire, England.

Thomas was the son of John Starkey and his wife, Dowce Warberton.^[1] His father, John, was the son and heir of Thomas Starkey.^[1] Dowce, his mother, was the daughter of Sir John Warberton of Arley knight.^[1]

He married Katharen Maynwaringe.^[1] Katharen was the daughter of Sir Richard Maynwaringe of Ightfeild, co Salop, knight.^[1]

Thomas and Katherine were the parents of:

1. Archer Starkey of Wrenbury, died 1622, married 1) Mary daughter of Thomas Billott of Morton, relict of Richard Minshull of Minshull, and 2) Mary or Anne, daughter and heir of Charles or Edward Hughes of Hoult, Denbighshire, Receiver, previously married to John Massy of Codington.^[1]
2. Margaret Starkey (Starkey-71) who married George Whitman/Wightman ^[2]

In 1566, Thomas had his right to bear a coat of arms authenticated and his pedigree recorded during an heraldic visitation of Cheshire.^[1]

Thomas Starkey of Wrenbury died in 1581.^[1]
