Research Notes

Unknown's birthdate has been approximated. Unknown's profile adopted, this is a work a progress being researched. Her maiden name has not been sourced. Previous profiled her maiden name as Starnes possibly based on the Choctaw Starnes family. No connection to the Starnes family has been found in research. She is not documented or referenced with the maiden name Starnes in the Choctaw/ Chickasaw Citizenship case, only referenced as Choctaw.

Choctaw and Chickasaw Original Lands

Choctaw original lands were primarily in Mississippi and western edge of Alabama. Chickasaw lands were overlapping the Choctaw in Mississippi, but were primarily in Alabama, and Tennessee. The first Chickasaw land cession in 1805 of Tennessee included Lincoln County, where the Tucker family resided. Chickasaw land cession of 1816 included part of Limestone, Alabama where the Glenn's resided in 1820. Early land cessions where the Glenn and Tucker families resided where originally Chickasaw and not Choctaw lands.

The Choctaw intermarried with the Chickasaw tribes. The McGee's mentioned in gr. granddaughter Frances (Fanny) Barnes testimony appear to be Choctaw -Chickasaw.

It is not known if she was Choctaw or possibly Choctaw - Chickasaw.

The "Glenn - Tucker vs. Choctaw and Chickasaw Nation Citizenship Court" case based on testimony from the descendants of daughter Abigail Rogers Glenn. In this court case testimony of Abigail's half brother is mentioned in the deposition of Abigail's granddaughter Frances (Fanny) Tucker-20891. Frances deposition was taken 7 Oct 1886, her testimony states that Abigail's mother married a Austin and that Abigail's half brother was named "Dave" Austin, who is David Austin-15133.

I may remove maiden name Starnes. No found sources or connections to the Starnes family, besides some Starnes were Choctaw. This seems more like a generalized possible theory. She is not found documented in any sources as Starnes. I will allow time, and continue to research Starnes family. Any comments, suggestions, or input on maiden name?
