Sarah Starnes was born on August 10, 1862 in Tennessee to George Starnes and Nancy Smiley.[1]
On August 30, 1882, Sarah married John McLain in Hawkins County, Tennessee.[2]
According to the 1900 census, Sarah lived with her children, Mary, Charles, Otis, and Joseph in Hawkins County, Tennessee. She is listed as a widow.[3]
According to the 1910 census, Sarah lived with her children, Mary, Otis, and Calvin in Hawkins County, Tennessee.[4]
Sarah died on May 29, 1930 in Fulton County, Indiana.[1]
She is buried in the Bruce Lake Cemetery in Kewanna, Indiana.[5]
