Biography
Joseph Starnes was born in 1787 in Mecklenburg County, Province of North Carolina, son of David Starnes (1758–1833) and Barbara Starnes (1760–1824).
Joseph married Catherine Thompson (born in 1790). Their daughter was Mahala Starnes (1818– ).
Joseph died in 1861 in Union County, North Carolina, United States, aged 73.
