Private Phineas Stearns served with Middlesex County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Phineas Stearns was born on February 28, 1738 in Waltham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, son of Isaac Stearns and Elizabeth (Child) Stearns. [1] [2]

Phineas married Mary Wellington on July 9, 1761 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [1] [2]

  3. Peleg Stearns, b. 25 Apr 1766.[1]

  6. Susanna Stearns, b. August 8, 1774.
  7. Isaac Stearns, b. Nov. 3, 1776.
  8. Rebecca Stearns, August 24, 1778.
  9. Dorcas Stearns, b. August 8, 1780.

Phineas died on October 7, 1792 in Lexington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, aged 54. [2]

He is buried in Common Street Cemetery, Watertown, Massachusetts. [3]
