He married Mary Elizabeth Killmaster on March 31, 1875 in Port Rowan, Norfolk County, Ontario, daughter of Henry John Killmaster and Mary Becker. He was a merchant. He passed away on 31 Dec 1880 and is buried on the H.J. Killmaster Farm, but burial stone is at Bayview Cemetery.
