Anna Stearns was baptized on February 27, 1737, in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts[1].
Anna was born in 1737. She is the daughter of David and Mary Stearns of Waltham, Massachusetts. (Note: See research note below. The sentence about the parents will be superceded by new information when Anna is merged with her duplicate.)
She married Stephen Calef on March or May 22, 1755. They had eleven children.
She passed away in 1810.
Recently some discussion has occurred as to Anna's parents. She had been attached to David and Mary Stearns. However, their children did not include Anna according to most research. Two records exist on Ancestry.com listing the children of David and Mary during the period when Anna was born. One appears to be a recopying of the other record, because the information is the same. What appears to be the original record is here and the duplicate is listed as a source on the profile of David and Mary's daughter Ruth.
In contrast, there is a record listing Stephen Calef's wife Anna as a daughter of David and Mary Stearns. That source is the "History of Westminster Massachusetts."[2] Because that derivative source is apparently not supported by available birth records, it should probably be ignored, or at least given lesser priority than the records that appear to be closer to the original documents.
Meanwhile, there is another Anna Stearns on WikiTree who appears to be a duplicate. That profile includes a birth record naming her father as John Stearns.
