Biography

John Stearns was born 10 February 1722 in Sutton, Massachusetts. He was the son of Ebenezer Stearns and Martha Burnap.[1]

John married Mehitable Pratt, 10 Feb 1747/8 at Sutton, Massachusetts.[2]

John passed away before 1805. John's children which are named as heirs in his probate record in 1807:[3]

  2. Sarah (b at 1750) m Benjamin Lathe
  3. Hannah (b abt 1752) m Jesse Kinney
  4. Mehitable (b abt 1758) m Isaac Rice d by 1807
  5. Mary (b abt 1759) m Joseph Dwelly
  6. William
  7. John
  8. Daniel (named as youngest son). Daniel paid his brothers and sisters for the land. The land was described as being next to Thomas Stearns land.
