Biography
Elizabeth was born about 1836. She is the daughter of John Steel and Jean Maxwell.
In the 1851 census Eliz (age 14), Steam Loom Weaver, was the daughter of John Steel on Old Glasgow Road, Uddingston, Bothwell, Lanarkshire.[1]
In the 1861 census Elizabeth (age 24), Cotton Weaver, was the daughter of John Steel at 3 Millhouses, Blantyre, Lanarkshire.[2]
Elizabeth married Thomas Hynd on 16 September 1864 in Blantyre, Lanark, Scotland.[3]
In the 1871 census Elizabeth (age 31) was the wife of Thomas Hynd in Browns Square, Coatbridge, Old Monkland, Lanarkshire.[4]
In the 1881 census Elizabeth (age 42) was the wife of Thomas Hynd at 23 Thornwood, Bothwell, Lanarkshire.[5]
In the 1891 census Elizebeth (age 53) was the wife of Thomas Hynd in U & C Road 36 Aikenhead, Bothwell, Lanarkshire.[6]
In the 1901 census Elizabeth (age 63), was the wife of Thomas Hynd at 35 New Row, Bothwell, Lanarkshire.[7]
Elizabeth died on 11 September 1906 in Uddingston.[8]
