From a comparison of the handwriting of the individual filling in the death notice and the individual who signed it, it seems clear that we are dealing with two different individuals here. Furthermore the first individual spelt Jan's surname as 'Steenkamp', whereas the second individual spelt it as 'Stenekamp'. Perhaps this could be one potential sources of the common confusion between the Steenkamp-Stenekamp-Steenekamp surnames?
