Elizabeth (Stephens) Badgehott was born in Frocester, Gloucestershire, England.
Elizabeth Stephens was born c. 1545, Frocester, the daughter of Henry Stephens and Alice Lugg. [1]
In 1577 she received a bequest in the will of her brother Richard Stephens of Eastington, who died the same year. [2]
On 14 June 1568 she married Thomas Higges of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. [3]Their marriage took place at Eastington. Between 1570 and 1586, Elizabeth and Thomas had 10 children, all baptised at Cheltenham:

When Thomas died in 1588, he named Elizabeth in his will. [4]
Sometime after his death, Elizabeth married Charles Badgehott of Cheltenham. He died in 1596 and named Elizabeth as a beneficiary in his will. [5]
They had no children together.
In 1620, when her youngest daughter Ann died unmarried, Elizabeth was also named as a beneficiary. [6]
Her own will was drawn up in October 1620. In it she named:
my sons Thomas and John Higges
