- Elizabeth was born 6 March 1863 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, the daughter of Joseph Adshead Stephens and Sarah Watts.[1]
- She married Charles Henry Cooper on 31 October 1893 in her father's home in New Town, Hobart, Tasmania.[2]
- They had two daughters, Winifred Mary Cooper and Lily Maud Cooper.
- On 11 April 1897, four moths after Lily was born, Elizabeth died of phthisis, or pulmonary tuberculosis.[3]
