Elizabeth STEPHENS was born in Wisbech St Peters Cambridgeshire in abt 1803 and was christened on 22 June 1803.
It it plausible that she could be the 'Elizabeth' mother of William and James GRIFFIN as she would have been 18 years of age when William was born in 1821. However, the birth of Susannah in 1814 also lists Elizabeth STEPHENS the mother. If it is the same person she would have only been 11 years of age, unless of course she was christened as a child rather than an infant. No record can be found of a marriage certificate for William GRIFFIN and Elizabeth STEPHENS.
